Apparently I am in Connecticut for the weekend...nice!

I have been trying to explain to people how my life works, and it just doesn't seem to register. After spending so much time in Europe, I have an incredible "go with the flow" attitude in regards to day to day things, not to mention traveling. An opportunity to help a buddy out this weekend arose (he's opening a craft beer bar), so goodbye Hoboken, New Jersey and hello Danbury, CT. A few pit stops on the way up to this lush, forested area of Connecticut included a stop for some amazing sandwiches and a couple of Draft beers at Bier Kraft in Brooklyn, NY and then a perfectly timed visit to Captain Lawrence Brewing in Pleasantville, NY.

An amazing rendition of a Reuben paired with a solid local porter and a bag of Salt & Pepper Chips
Nestled in an office building in "Downtown" Pleasentville, NY
Made it in time for the free open tasting and a few growler fills.

Bottling Line,  Kettles, & Fermentation Tanks.

Kegs, Cold Room, and Barrels
Their renown wild ales aging in casks.
First of several tasters; Captain Lawrence Kolsch.
Ended the night back at Georges house with an 07' Imperial Stout Trooper...have to figure a dude with a cat named Chewbacca is going to have a ton of this in the cellar!
