As much as I enjoy going to beer festivals, I would have to say that I like working at them even more! While I was a bit surprised that this event could operate with only 15 breweries, it certainly was a full house. Not sure on the exact numbers but the ticket sales implied that there would be at least 800 attendees. We arrived on time, despite almost accidentally going into Philadelphia and were able to set up in one of the most prime spots on the ship because we were the fourth brewery to arrive! Before I knew it, we were set up and started to sample fellow breweries beers.

I can't believe how much fun it was to pour beer all day and how many people stopped me on my way to getting a beer to tell me how much they loved our Pale Ale! It was a lot of fun to be a part of the event and a representative of the
Harvest Moon Brewery; definitely a reminder of why I enjoy working with beer so much. How can sharing good beer with good people not be the best job in the world! My beer highlights were as follows in no particular order:
Gas Light's Solstice,
Trap Rock's Schroeder Weiss,
Flying Fish's Farmhouse Summer, and
Triumph's Rauchbier. Once the event ended, it was time to run around and help each other drink the rest of our beers, pack up the gear, and head into Philly for a bite.
