It's a small beer related world after all!

After arriving in Grand Central Station I wandered around Manhattan for a bit and discovered how small the world really is. I stumbled upon a mini month long food and craft festival where I randomly decided to stop for a beer and sure enough ran into a gentleman that I had briefly met in Paris last month. Long story short, Andy and his wife Justine, owners of Nunu Chocolates were in Paris for a few weeks attending a chocolate pairing event. At some point, they learned about the shop and came into Cave a Bulles to share some of their beer chocolates with us! Simon was ecstatic, because if there is anything he likes more than beer it is chocolate. Anyway, after one of those, "hey you look familiar" situations at the Nunu beer & chocolate stand, Andy and I got to talking and are now working out the details to sell their beer chocolates in Paris!

After walking around with a backpack full of beer all day, I couldn't resist that epic beer list!
Starting things off with a dangerously drinkable Allagash Curiuex 11%abv.

I thought it would be nice to lighten my pack and of course share some of the great beer I had picked up that morning! Stillwater's Cellar Door Saison; 6.4%abv.
Finally getting to try a long time want; Two Brother's Cane & Ebel Rye Ale; 7%abv.

If you happen to find yourself in Manhattan over the next month, do yourself a favor and stop by Nunu's stand for a pint, or even a growler, and some epic chocolates. Aside from the stand at Madison Square Market, Nunu's shop in Brooklyn is another great place to learn about and experience the unique world of beer and chocolate pairings.
